Why is walking good for your health?

Compared with other exercises, walking is very easy for everyone. Participants can start walking at anytime and anywhere. Walk a little more day by day and make it a habit.

Walking enhances our physical conditions and strengthens our physique, immunity and cardiopulmonary function.

Walking is a moderate-intensity aerobic exercise. You can begin by walking short distances when you first start and slowly extend the walking distance bit by bit.

Helpful tips :

  • Know your capabilities and health condition
  • Do enough warm-up exercises before you start
  • Choose a safe site for walking exercises
  • Be ready with appropriate gears e.g. sport shoes, towel and water bottle
